An HOA violation notice lands in Gary’s lap in the garage, and instead of appealing it he walks to the closet and takes down a white coat. Stethoscope on, sunglasses down, he tows a red wagon with a cooler in it past a neighbor already papered head to toe in violation stickers. By the time he reaches the backyard there is a guitar, a semicircle of lawn chairs, and a whole block holding cold cans in the air. He is not that kind of doctor, but the prescription works.
