Privacy Policy

The short version. We collect what you give us and basic analytics. We do not sell resident personal information. Advertisers buy access to communities and placements, never to a list of your neighbors.
What we collect
- What you send us. Anything you type into a form on this site: name, email, ZIP, community, your story, your review, your tryout.
- Newsletter signups. Email address, handled by our email provider.
- Analytics. Standard web analytics (Google Analytics, StatCounter): pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. Aggregate, not tied to your name.
- Nothing else. We don’t ask for your address, we don’t want your account numbers, and we will never ask you for a password.
What we do with it
- Reply to you.
- Send the newsletter, if you asked for it.
- Turn submitted stories into videos — with names, addresses and community names removed.
- Understand which videos and pages people actually watch and read.
- Tell you about deals and savings in your ZIP, if you opted in.
The advertising network
This part matters, so it gets its own section.
- Participation is opt-in, for both communities and residents.
- Advertisers receive access to approved audiences and placements — not unrestricted homeowner data.
- We do not sell residents’ personal information.
- Any household-level targeting uses consent-based information and follows advertising-platform rules, applicable privacy law, and the association’s own requirements.
- You can opt out of the email and deals programs at any time and stay a resident of a participating community.
Stories, reviews and submissions
If you send us a story, a violation or a review, you are giving us permission to publish it in edited form — unless you tell us otherwise on the form, which you can. We remove identifying details as a matter of course. Please remove them yourself before you send anything.
Cookies
Analytics and our email provider set cookies. You can block them in your browser; the site still works.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Your choices
Want a copy of what we hold, or want it deleted? Email impaired@drinkingandhoaing.com and we’ll take care of it. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under state or national law, and we’ll honor them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we’ll update the date at the top and say so in the newsletter.
